Chandrika grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating high school in 2009, she attended Coffeyville Community College on an athletics volleyball scholarship where she obtained her Associate in Arts degree and then transferred to Kansas State University where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2014. She was commissioned in the United States Air Force as a Personnel Officer upon graduating and has continued to serve for the past 6 years.

She continued her academic journey and completed her Master of Social Work degree in 2019. Chandrika has led diverse teams providing force support to 20,000 military members and their families.
